Mrs. Rebecca Hoag, for 55 years a resident of Adair county, died Monday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.P. Hopson, of 509 South Cottage Grove avenue, aged 92 years. Mrs. Hoag had been making her home this winter with her son, Andrew Hoag, but two weeks ago went for a visit at the Hopson home, where she was seized with her fatal illness. Mrs. Hoag was born in Jacksonville, Ill, on Jan. 26, 1831 and came to this county in 1868 and had resided here since that time. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fannie McGruder, Mrs. J.R. Holloway, Mrs. A.P. Hopson and two sons, John and Andrew Hoag, all of this city. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Summers & Taylor Chapel conducted by the Rev. A.R. McQueen, pastor of the Christian church. Burial in Forest Park cemetery.
