Services for Earnest Alton Ray, 26, of Steele, who died Oct. 7th at the hospital in Blytheville, Ark., were held Oct. 9th at 2:30 p.m. in the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James F. McCrary officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 7th, 1951, the son of James and Norma Jean Ray.
Survivors include his parents of Steele; his wife, Shirley of the home; one daughter, Ladonna Michelle Ray of the home; one sister, Linda Ray of Steele; three half-brothers, Jimmie Forbus of Caruthersville, Ronnie Forbus of Steele, and Danny Forbus of Ft. Meade, Fla.; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Kate Jones and Mrs. Mary Sutton, both of Steele.
