Earnest Alton Ray Jr., 15, of Steele, Mo., died Sunday, November 7, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. of injuries received in a car accident.
Born Thursday, March 16, 1978, at Hayti, Mo., he was the son of Shirley Ray Gray of Steele and the late Earnest Alton Ray.
An uncle, Danny Forbus, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Ray leaves his mother, Shirley Ray Gray, of Steele; His stepfather, Jackie Gray, of Steele; One sister, LaDonna Ray of Steele; Two stepbrothers: Chad Gray and Jackie Gray Jr., both of Steele; One stepsister, Tammy Roubidolux, of St. Louis, Mo.; An aunt, Linda Jean Ray, of Steele; Two uncles: Ronnie Forbus of Steele and Jimmy Forbus of Caruthersville, Mo.; and His grandparents, James and Norma Ray, of Steele.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ray were held at 2:30 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday, November 10, 1993) in South Pemiscot High School Gymnasium at Steele, with Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
