Jackie Hahs, a daughter of H.S. and Annie Taylor was born in Howell, Ark., January 5, 1923, and died December 9, 1987. She moved to Steele at the age of two. Jackie married Virgil L. Hahs.
Services by Rev. Diana Black, minister, of First Presbyterian Church in Raymondville, Texas, were December 15, 1987. According to her request she was cremated and the ashes will be buried in the family plot in Steele.
She leaves two sons: Sam Hahs of Edinburg, Texas and Larry Hahs of Bartlett, Tenn.; two granddaughters: Erin Hahs of Edinburg and Lauren Hahs, of Bartlett; and one sister, Helen Farmer of Bartlett.
