Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Hall Burton Morris were held Thursday, April 22, at 10:00 a.m., at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Rev. Joe Smith officiated.
Mrs. Morris was born December 4, 1884, in Waterloo, Illinois, the daughter of William Walter and Isabell Fisher Hendrix. She died April 19, 1982.
Her family moved to Cottonwood Point, Missouri, when she was about nine-years-old. She lived in Steele and Cooter until she went to live in the Baptist Home in Ironton, Missouri, May, 1970.
One daughter, Mrs. Frank Reid, one infant son, Roy Hall, and one grandson, Jerry Reid, preceded her in death.
She leaves two sons, Charles Hayward Archer of Denver, Colorado, and James Orval Hall of Topeka, Kansas; One daughter, Mary Hall May of St. Louis, Missouri; and Six grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-granddaughters.
Sarah was baptised in 1902 in the Mississippi River at Cottonwood.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
