The Steele Enterprise Obituary

Clarence Ellis Martin, 88, of the Waynesboro Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tenn., formerly of Collinwood, Tenn., and Steele, died Thursday, October 18, 2007, at the Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro.
He is the son of the late Thomas and Mattie Keeton Martin.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hurley Martin.
He was a retired welder and a United States Army veteran of World War II.
He lived in Steele for 60 years before returning to Collinwood.
Mr. Martin leaves one son, James Ellis Martin, and his wife Barbara, of Collinwood; and one granddaughter, Teresa Wright, of Collinwood.
Graveside services for Mr. Martin were held Saturday, October 20 at the Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele with Glyn Davis officiating.
Shackelford Funeral Home of Waynesboro was in charge of services.
