Cass was the son of Robert Lee and Mattie Warren Donaldson. Cass was married to Ruby Avis Pannell.

Mr. Cass Donaldson died March 30, 1984 at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. He was 71.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 1, 1984 in the chapel of German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele. Rev. James F. McCrary officiated. The Billy Williams family sang during the service.

Mr. Donaldson was born October 22, 1912 at Hornsby, Tenn.

He leaves his wife, Ruby Pannell Donaldson, of the home; one son, Travis W. Childs of Okolona, Miss.; one sister, Mattie Hogeland of Malden, Mo.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Elmer Davis, Tommie Davis, Danny Davis, Robert Pritchett, Jerry Battles, and Donald Weaver.

Burial was in Sam Hamra Memorial Garden in Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele. German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele was in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Avis Donaldson, 82, died February 4, 1997 at the River Oaks Nursing Home in Steele, Mo. Born August 4, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Jack Pannell and Minerbia Anne Strickland Pannell.
She was married to the late John Cass Donaldson. She was a homemaker and of Baptist faith.
Survivors include: one son, Travis W. Childs of Steele, Mo.; three sisters, Annie Short of Memphis, Tn., Luna Rogers of Walnut, Ms. and Ethel Walden of Ripley, Ms.; 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held February 7, 1997 at 2 p.m. at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele, Mo. with Rev. Clayton Metheny officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion in Steele, Mo.
