Funeral service for Benjamin Howard was held Sunday, May 3, at 2:00 at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Morrell Upchurch officiated.
Mr. Howard, a long-time resident of Tyler and Cottonwood, was born September 22, 1912 in Tennessee and died in California April 28, 1981.
He leaves one sister, Mrs. Doris P. Adams of St. Louis; Two brothers, Jim and Bob Howard, both of St. Louis; Two daughters, Donna Cheney of St. Peters, Mo. and Ernestine Simmons of St. Louis; Six grandchildren, Billy, Steve, and Danny Cheney, and Sidney, Tamekot, and Tonya Appleton, all of St. Louis.
Pallbearers were Jack Whittington, Frank Moore, Charles Stevens, Marvin Harper, Gordie Britt and Chris Upchurch.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele, with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
