James H. Shubert, farm laborer, of Steele, died at the age of 42 in the Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff November 18, 1963.
Mr. Shubert was born November 22, 1920 in Wayne County, Tenn.
Services were November 20 at the Chapel of German Funeral Home, Sister Dollie Pollard conducting the service.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, German Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Willard Jackson, Thomas Payne, Lyman Leathers, Billy Johnson, Elmer Davis, and Howard Noble.
Mr. Shubert leaves his wife, Mrs. Arlie Shubert; two sons, James E. and James William; his mother, Mrs. Florence Wood of Steele; two brothers, William and Ray; two sisters, Clara Bell Ayers and Lillie Lucas; two half-sisters, Ethel Parks and Lois Bolin; and a half-brother, Bobby Wood.
