J. W. (Cowboy) Boyd, 74, of Frankford died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 at his residence. No services will be held.
He was born March 10, 1936 in Center, the son of Robert Jason and Icie Iola Campfield Boyd. He married Alta May Ulrich on March 29, 1970 in Frankford. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James Fredrick Boyd of Frankford and Robert Roy Boyd and wife, Christina of Louisiana; two daughters, Laura Lunsford and husband, Danny of Eolia and Anna Anderson and husband, Edward of Ft. Riley, Ka.; and five grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Jason Scott Boyd.
Mr. Boyd had been employed at Vandalia Brick Plant (Harbison-Walker) for 42 years. He loved raising grain and cattle and enjoyed fishing. He attended the Baptist Church and Presbyterian Church in Frankford.
