Leta Pauline Bright Ditch, 92, died April 11, 2010, in Mountain View, MO.
She was born Feb. 18, 1918, in Arrowsmith IL, the daughter of Charlie Leslie Clontz and Hallie (Fowler) Clontz.
She was married Leonard (Leo) Bright Aug. 10, 1933. He preceded her in death. She later married Walter Ditch May 3, 1988. He preceded her in death.
Leta enjoyed crocheting and piecing together quilts. She enjoyed singing in the church choir during her younger years. She also enjoyed taking care of people, which led to her nursing career. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Leonard Alfred (Terry) Bright, Athol, ID, and Thomas David (Mary Lynn) Bright, San Diego, CA; seven daughters, Norma Irwin, LaPorte, IN, Fern (Lawrence) Duffrin, Carson City, NV, Marti (Spencer) Bichel, Wichita, KS, Mary (Dean) Warner, Escanaba, Wendy Slown, Grand Prairie, TX, Linda Erickson, Mountain View, MO, and Rose (Malcolm) Boyd, South Bend, IN; one brother, John Clontz, McMinville, TN, 27 grand children, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands; one daughter, Bernice McDonough; and one brother, Don Clontz. [menomineecountyjournal.com, Apr 2010]
