MRS. MARTHA I. WILLIAMS DIES AT HOME HERE
Funeral Services To Be Held Monday at 2:30 p.m.
Mrs. Martha Irene Williams, 73 years old, died yesterday morning at her home, 509 North High Street following several months illness.
She was born in Ohio, Dec. 11, 1862, came to Kirksville in 1881 and has lived here the greater part of the time since then. She was for several years employed in the office of the Kirksville Gas Company and later was in the insurance business.
She is survived by three sisters, Mr. [sic] Bertha E. Haman, of Santa Clara, Calif., and Mrs. Alice M. Dawson and Miss Olive L. Morgan, of this city, and one brother, A.R. Morgan, of St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and her husband, D.N. Williams, who died in 1904. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Davis & Wilson Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Joseph W. Thompson. The body will be buried in Forest Cemetery. The casket will be open so that friends may view the body a short time before the funeral service Monday afternoon.
