MRS. PEMBERTON, NEE BEEMAN, TO BE BURIED HERE
Former Kirksville Girl Died Yesterday in Brooklyn, After Long Illness.
A telegram has been received by relatives in Kirksville telling of the death of Mrs. S.D. Pemberton, who died at her home in Brooklyn yesterday. The body will be shipped to this city for burial and is expected to arrive Sunday morning.
The deceased has been sick several weeks and about two weeks ago her mother, Mrs. M.L. Beeman left for Brooklyn to be at her bedside. She was formerly Miss Lula Beeman and is well-known here, having been a resident of Kirksville until about ten years ago when she married Dr. S.D. Pemberton and they moved to Brooklyn. She was also a graduate of the A.S.O., and was graduated from the Normal school before she studied osteopathy.
She is survived by her husband, an 8-year old son, Gordon, her mother, two brothers, Dr. E.E. Beeman of New York City and Dr. R.H. Beeman of Jersey City, N.J.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Baptist church and Rev. C.F. Acree will conduct the services. The body will be buried in the Llewellyn cemetery.
