Sylvia Benn age 90 of Frankford went home to be with the Lord on Friday January 6, 2012 at the Moore-Pike Nursing Home in Bowling Green.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday January 9, 2012 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Pastor Paytie Hinch officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Frankford. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Benn was born December 17, 1921 in Eminence, the daughter of Tony Ray and Nellie Mariah Ulry Jennings. On July 8, 1939 she married Ezra E. Benn. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1991.

Survivors include 4 sons; 1 daughter; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and 1 daughter-in-law Shirley Benn of Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Ezra Carroll Benn and Michael Ray Benn; grandsons Neal Haden and Stephen Benn; brother Ernie Jennings and daughter-in-law Maggie Benn.

Mrs. Benn lived most of her life in the Frankford area having attended Salt River Christian Church and most recently Frankford Worship Center. She loved to sew, make quilts, cook and enjoyed helping take care of people. She loved God and people including all children. She especially loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Benn, Chuck Benn, Gary Benn, Brent Benn, Greg Benn and Corey Haden.

Memorials may be made to the Moore-Pike Nursing Home.
