Sherryl Kay (Reese) White, daughter of the late Lincoln Dean and Ermaline (Holder) Reese, was born on February 27, 1956 and departed this life on April 27, 2015 at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, MO. Sherryl was 59 Years and two months of age.
Sherryl was the fifth child of Dean and Ermaline. She attended school at Cabool from kindergarten through graduation with the Class of 1974. It was during her sophomore year that she moved in with “Momma” June and “Pop” Loyd Taff. Sherryl became part of their family and developed a lifelong relationship that she treasured.
Sherryl shined while working in radio and advertising. After she graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor of Science degree, she worked for the Missouri Division of Youth for 9 years in Mtn. Grove. She transferred to Family Services after that. All of her years were spent helping others.
Sherryl loved to sing and was happiest when she was singing praises to her Lord. She was kindhearted, loving, considerate and loved with all she had. She had a big heart, beautiful voice and infectious spirit. She loved her church family and found great joy in singing there. She uplifted many hearts when she sang.
Sherry Kay also had a deep affection for animals. She adored her cat, Simba and grand dog, Simple. She always had her door open for any stray animal that needed a home or simply to be fed.
Sherryl will be greatly missed by those of us who loved her, adored her and at times, were undeniably inspired by her.
Sherryl was preceded in death by husband, John M. White; father, Lincoln Dean Reese; mother, Ermaline (Holder) Reese and sister, Susie Reese.
