Mrs. Nell Ledford, 77, of Hayti, Mo., died March 3, 1988 at Hayti.
Daughter of the late James Lawrence German and Lillie Viola Barger German, she was born Jan. 10, 1911 in Steele, Mo.
Nell was a member of and attended the Gibbins Church of Christ in the Gobler and Rives Communities with her husband, J.S. Ledford, who preceded her in death in 1955. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, John German and Paul German.
She leaves one brother, Jack German and his wife, Bertha, of Malden, Mo., One sister, Mrs. Nadine Funderburk of Long Beach, Calif.; And two sisters-in-law: Susie German Clark of Steele and Jean German of Hayti.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 6, 1988 at 2 p.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Brother Bob Carrington, minister of the Hayti Church of Christ officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, with John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti in charge. Pallbearers were: Damon Bush, Gary bush, Bill Guise, W.F. Clark, Winfred German and Mike McOwen.

Jesse McCoy Ledford, life long resident of Pemiscot county, died at his home in Hayti on Thursday, September 8, at the age of 51 years.
Mr. Ledford was born April 27, 1904 in Hardin county, Tenn. and moved to this county with his family when he was about one year old. He was a farmer and gin operator and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was married on October 27, 1936, to Nellie M. German, who survives him.
He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Florence Barnes of Steele; three brothers, J.C. Ledford of Gobler, Ozell Ledford of Mount Dora, Fla. and W.L. Ledford of Steele; and two sisters, Mrs. J.C. Kitchen of Gobler and Mrs. Lizzie Hayes of Sunnymead, Calif.
Services were held at the Church of Christ in Steele Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Robert Lawyer of Kennett, assisted by Rev. Alton James of Steele officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion cemetery.
