Bobbie J. Adams, 73, of Lakeland, Fla., and formerly of St. Peters died March 1 at Winter Haven Rehabilitation Center. He was born Oct. 25[,] 1924, in Kirksville.
Services were March 5 at Davis-Playle Funeral Home in Kirksville with interment in Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville.
Mr. Adams owned and operated Adams Trucking Co. until retirement. He served in the Army during World War II and in the Missouri National Guard for several years. He attended Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) in Kirksville.
He is survived by three daughters, Bobbette Laycock of Tucson, Ariz., Mechelle Daugherty and Jamie Adams, both of Lakeland, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Melissa McKeown and Jennifer Talbott, both of St. Peters; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Haselhorst) Adams.
