Joann Ricketts, 92, of Steele, Mo., formerly of Cooter, Mo., died Friday, August 31, 2001, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.
Born Monday, October 26, 1908 in Scotts Hill, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late John Mac and Frances Rodgers Peake. She was also preceded in death by two sons: Johnny Ricketts and Bill Ricketts.
She was a restaurant cook for many years and a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter Mo.
Mrs. Ricketts leaves two daughters: Ann Gilmer of Steele, and June Walker of Santa Fe, Tex.; Twelve grandchildren; Fourteen great-grandchildren: and One great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rickets were held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2001 at the Bradshaw Funeral home Chapel in Steele with Tim Abanathy officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Gene Reams, Charles Barger, Wayne Alexander, Tommy Campbell, and J.W. Neil.
