Nellie May Lowe, 60, of Kirksville, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ola Wait, of 417 S. Main. She had been in poor health for more than a year.
Funeral services will be held at the Dee Riley Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 1:30, conducted by the Rev. Edward F. Coffman, pastor of the First Christian church of Kirksville. Burial will be in Maple Hills cemetery.
Mrs. Lowe was the daughter of George and Henrietta (Pope) Anders and was born June 10, 1902, in Schuyler county. She was married to Graham Lowe Dec. 29, 1919 in Hannibal, and to this marriage three children were born.
She is survived by two sons, Garnett Lowe and Charles Lowe, both of West Burlington, Ia.; three brothers, Charles Anders of Marathon, Ia.; Fred Anders of Storm Lake, Ia., and Clyde Anders, also of Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Jesse (Maude) Brassfield and Mrs. Wilbur (Ola) Wait, both of Kirksville, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her husband, in 1959; her parents and one son.
She was a member of the Christian church of Downing. She had spent most of her life northeast of Kirksville, but lived in Knox county at Novelty from 1939 to 1947. She moved to Kirksville three years ago.
