1884 - 1976
Myrtle Elva Spencer, 92, of Brashear, passed away Saturday evening at the Adair County Nursing Home. She had been in failing health for some time and had been hospitalized since Feb. 22.
She was the daughter of William L. and Hester Oldfather Strock. She was married to Robert Spencer Dec. 23, 1906. Her husband and parents and one sister, Airy Strock preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Gladys) Ornes of Brashear and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Brashear Community Bible Church at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. David Alspach officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Hills Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday after 5 p.m. at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Brashear.
Bearers will be Joe Shelton, Kyle Cooper, Gayle Platz, Leonard Harbur, Ronnie Osborn and Paul Sorenson.
