1882 - 1957
Warner Herman Deacon, 75, of Kirksville, died this morning at 5:45 in a Kirksville hospital.
The son of Thomas and Emma C. Merry Deacon he was born in Knox county on March 18, 1882. In 1906 at LaPlata he married Grace Mae Stribling, who survives. Also surviving are four nieces and two nephews.
Preceding him in death were two sons, one daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
At the age of eight years, Warren Deacon moved with his parents to a farm four miles east of LaPlata. His entire life has been spent farming in Knox, Adair and Macon counties.
The body is at the Funeral Home of Davis and Davis and funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral For Warner H Deacon Is Sunday
Funeral services for Warner H. Deacon, 75, who died Thursday morning in a Kirksville hospital, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the Davis & Davis funeral chapel. Elder Elmer Hagele of Kirksville will officiate and interment will be in the Maple Hills cemetery.
Bearers will be Purdy Davis, Ernest Whittom, William Gibbons, Roland Deacon, Harold Wallen and Merle Muffett.
