Katherine P. Lafler, 92, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at HospiceCare Inc., Fitchburg.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, with Sr. Anne Raymond presiding. A burial will be held in Howell County, Memorial Park Cemetery, Missouri.
She was born in Port Edwards on March 17, 1916, and was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Czlapinski) Gavre. She married Leonard Lafler on Aug. 18, 1934, in Port Edwards.
She is survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. [Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune, Jan/31/2009]
