Graveside services for Edna Lorena Moffis, 88, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2020 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moffis passed away at 10:45 a.m., Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Brooke Haven Health Care.
She was born September 17, 1932, to Wilburn Arnold Gunter and Elda Mayfield Gunter. On March 16, 1974, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Elmer Eugene "Pat" Moffis, who preceded her in death on February 12, 2010. Before her retirement, Mrs. Moffis worked at the International Shoe Factory. She enjoyed fishing and going out on the lake on the family's pontoon boat. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Charles Croney and wife, Barb, Houston, Missouri, JoAnn Kocher and Patrick Moffis and wife, Mandee, all of West Plains; two step-children, David Moffis and wife, Margie, Arnold, Missouri and Daniel Moffis, West Plains; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Madison, Montana, Peyton, David, Christopher, Chad, Parker and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one son, Ronnie Croney, one daughter, Beverly Jean Upton and all of her siblings, preceded her in death. [robertsondrago.com]
Funeral services for Elmer Eugene "Pat" Moffis, 76, West Plains, were Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Moffis died at 1:25 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, in Ozarks Medical Center. He was born Nov. 23, 1933, at Trail, MO, to Virgil Ray and Alice Young Moffis. On March 16, 1974, he was married at West Plains, MO, to Edna Gunter. Before his retirement, Mr. Moffis was employed at Invensys.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Moffis, of the family home; three children, David Moffis, wife, Margie, of Arnold, MO, Daniel Moffis, wife, Melanie, of Arnold, MO, and Patrick Moffis, wife, Mandee, West Plains; four stepchildren, Diane Lindeman of St. Louis, MO, Joann Kocher of West Plains, Charles Croney and Ronnie Croney, both of Houston, MO; stepson-in-law, Mike Upton of West Plains; seven grandchildren; David Moffis, Christopher Moffis, Chad Moffis, Madison Moffis, Montana Moffis, Parker Moffis and Taylor Moffis; several step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several step-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Leon Carroll of Pontiac, MO; one niece, Debbie Wood, husband, Mike, of West Plains; one uncle, Hobart Moffis of West Plains; one aunt, Marie Hall of Springfield, MO; and several cousins.
His parents; one stepson, one stepdaughter; and one sister, Bea Carroll, precede him in death.
Burial was at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Gideon Bible Society and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
