Sarah married Jesse John Wimp on August 11, 1928, at Adair County, Missouri.
Children: Jill, Jet and Jan Wimp
She later married Travis Franklin Peavler on July 18, 1970, at Adair County, Missouri. Sarah was campus nurse and head of the Northeast Missouri Teachers College Nursing Program in the 1950-60s.
Sarah Grim Wimp Nursing Scholarship
This award was endowed by friends and relatives of Sarah Grim Wimp ('29). Wimp began teaching at Truman in 1958 as assistant professor of health. In 1960, she was charged by President Ryle with re-establishing the nursing program at the University and served as head of Nursing through 1970.
