Celia Roseita (McPhetridge) Wimber died Tuesday afternoon, October 31, 1967 at 1:45 in Kirksville Nursing Home where she had been a patient for four months. Funeral services were held Friday Afternoon at two o'clock in the Novinger Methodist Church with the Rev. C.L. Nelson, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Adair County.
The daughter of William and Elizabeth (Bozarth) McPhetridge, she was born October 31, 1874 in Adair County. She was married to Ira Wimber and to this marriage two children were born.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Raymond Ted Wimber of Bozeman, Montana, and Nancy Strong of Salt Lake City, Utah; two nieces Reva Lowe of Brookfield, and Celia Hammons of Novinger, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her husband in 1942; two sons, Norman Wimber at 5 months old, and Raymond Wimber who was killed in an airplane crash in 1959, one brother and four sisters.
Mrs. Wimber was a life-long resident of the Novinger vicinity, except for a period of years when she lived out west, and had been employed as a nurse in her younger years.
