Visitation for Faye Eva McCrory Rasmusson, 71, Jefferson City, Mo., will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Faye passed away at 10:40 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the Jefferson City Manor Care Center, Jefferson City, Mo., after a long illness. She was born July 18, 1941, at West Plains, Mo., to John Robert and Alice Jane Davis McCrory. Faye graduated from the West Plains High School in 1959 and Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri, in 1962. She taught English and Literature in the Denver, Colorado School District for 37 years. Her hobbies were reading, working crossword puzzles, playing bridge, painting, making pottery and jewelry for craft shows. Faye was a Christian.
She is survived by two sisters, Norma McCrory Uhlmann, husband, Jerry and Janice McCrory, all of Jefferson City, Mo.; three nephews, Jeffrey Uhlmann, wife, Annette, Scott Uhlmann, wife, Sandy, all of the Jefferson City, Mo., area and Kirk Uhlmann, wife, Kathy, Kansas City, Mo.; one niece, Kiri McCrory Horne, husband, Bob; six great nephews and great nieces; sister-in-law, Katharine McCrory; two aunts, Imogene Stephens, West Plains, Mo., and Betty Davis, Grand Rapids, Mich.; two cousins that live in the West Plains, Mo. area, Sara McCrackin, husband, Gary and Marilyn Hooker, husband, Jim; and several other cousins living in Arkansas, Michigan, Texas and Arizona.
Her parents and one brother, Robert Jay McCrory, precede her in death.
