Graveside services for Beverly Rose Spankowski, 77, Brandsville, Mo., were Sunday, May 17, 2009, at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. Spankowski died at 2:10 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2009, at her home. She was born March 29, 1932, in Normal, Ill., to Boswell and Rose McMillian. In November of 1977, she was married at Berwyn, Ill., to Joseph Spankowski, who preceded her in death on July 4, 2003. Mrs. Spankowski was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by six children, Lenita Filip, husband, A.J., of Brandsville, Mo., Georgeanna Iribarren of Brandsville, Mo., Victoria Swiatlowski of Westmont, Ill., Catherine Dahl, husband, Michael, of Willow Springs, Mo., Edward Schoenhofen, wife, Kimberly, of Brandsville, Mo., and Lee James Schoenhofen, wife, Michelle, of Romeoville, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband, one grandson and one granddaughter precede her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
