Graveside services for Larry Gene Taylor, 60, West Plains, Mo., were Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor died 5:38 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Ozarks Medical Center. He was born Nov. 24, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif., to John and Betty Reese Taylor. On May 12, 1984, he was married at West Plains, Mo., to Donna Tuthill.
Mr. Taylor was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Air Force and had been employed at Invensys. He enjoyed leather crafting, watching TV and visiting with his friends and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Taylor of West Plains; five children, Jeremy Williams and the mother of his children, Cassidy Tharp of Carson City, Nev., Kristi Vaughn and husband, Shawn, of Catlin, Ill., Candi Williams and fiancée, James Six, of West Plains, Wendy Clegg of Bloomfield, Colo., and Matthew Taylor of California; 13 grandchildren and one on the way; his mother, Betty Taylor, Sayre, Okla.; two brothers, Danny Taylor of Sayre, Okla., and Johnny Taylor of Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Denise Minogue and husband, Cal, of Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.
His father and grandparents precede him in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
