Funeral services for George Allen Wells, 86, of West Plains, Missouri, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 9, at the Faith Assembly of God Church under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Wells died 11:20 a.m., Monday, Nov. 5, in Brooke Haven HealthCare. He was born March 9, 1921, in Halliday, North Dakota to George and Beulah Murray Wells. On June 25, 1965, Mr. Wells was married at Carson City, Nev., to Ruth Haney. He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Before his retirement, Mr. Wells was a truck driver for Richard Fusclin Trucking for 25 years. He was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Wells, of the family home; two daughters, Pamela Dattilo and husband Charles of West Plains and Ann Townley of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren, Donna Uveda and husband Tony, and Larry McCullan of West Plains, Teresa Rojas and husband Abel and Tammy Parker and husband Marshal of San Jose, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Monequ, Andres, Ashley, Alec and Alysa; one brother, Don Wells and wife Loraine; one sister, Lucille Goodman; sister-in-law, Beulah Shrum; and several nieces and nephews. His parents, and two brothers, Everett and Charles Wells, precede him in death. Visitation was Thursday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial was held at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
Graveside services for Ruth Annis Wells, 87, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wells passed away at 10:37 a.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Brooke Haven Health Care. She was born August 24, 1930, at Kokomo, Indiana. On June 25, 1965, she was married at Carson City, Nevada, to George Allen Wells, who preceded her in death on November 5, 2007. Before her retirement, she worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart. She loved her family and was the caregiver. Mrs. Wells was a member of Faith Assembly Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Datillo and husband, Chuck, West Plains, Missouri; four grandchildren, Donna Uveda, Larry McCullar, Tammy Parker and husband, Marshall and Teresa Rojas and husband, Abel; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Beulah Shrum; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two sons, John David Wells and Steven Wells and one daughter, Ruth Ann Townley, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Assembly Church and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
