Dee Alexander Callens died May 17, 1976 at the Baptist Hopsital in Memphis. He was born February 8, 1894, in Tennessee to the late Jennie Whaley and Robert Callens.
He was a veteran of World War I and a retired farmer. He had also served as Associate Judge of the County Court.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 19, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home. F.D. Northern of Carlsbad, N.M. and Mr. Jim Franks officiated.
Mr. Callens leaves his widow, Ester Northern Callens, one daughter, Helen Chism, Sherron, Wisc.; two sons, Robert Callens, Greenwood, Ms. and Jim Callens, Steele; two sisters: Essie Morgan, Memphis and Dellie Lacefield, Pocahontas, Tn.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
