Dr. Carl O. DeHoff, 71 of Hot Springs, Ark., died October 16, 1985 at National Park Hospital there. He was a longtime Caruthersville optometrist before moving to Hot Springs in 1976. He was a graduate of Southern School of Optometry in Memphis. He was a World War II veteran, where he served as a staff sergeant. He was a member of Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church. He was born May 14, 1914 in Crawfordsville, Ind.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Wingfield DeHoff of Hot Springs; one son, Kenneth Wray DeHoff of Rockwood, Tenn.; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth E. Belcher of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Katherine Hurt of Indianapolis; and one grandchild, Brian Carleton Belcher of Broken Arrow.
Services were Friday, October 18 at 2 p.m. at Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church, the Rev. Jerry Statler officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Dean Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
Pallbearers were John Bay, Jesse Wingfield, Ed Tutt, Terry Swinger, Bill Morlan, Harold Hinchey, Bobby Robinson, Glen Daulton, Bill Hook, Chester Pearman and Joe Tipton.

Gladys DeHoff, 84, of Hot Springs, Ark., died Saturday, April 5, 2003.
Born November 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Jones Wingfield and Jesse Wingfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl DeHoff.
She was office manager for Carl DeHoff Optometry, and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. DeHoff leaves one son, Kenny DeHoff and his wife Brycelaine of Metairie, La.; one daughter, Beth Belcher and her husband Bo, of Tulsa, Okla; two sisters, Mavis Lovins of Steele, Mo., and Vera Hopper of McKenzie, Tenn.; and one grandson, Brian Belcher.
Funeral services for Mrs. DeHoff were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2003, at the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel in Hot Springs with Rev. David Wilson officiating.
Burial was at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
