Funeral services were held Monday, December 20 at 2:30 at the Methodist Church in Cooter for Mrs. Alice W. Chambers, 46, who died at Walls Hospital, Blytheville on December 18, 1948 following a major operation.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Cooper. Interment was at Mount Zion Cemetery with German Undertaking Co. in charge.
She is survived by her husband, Ellis E. Chambers, Cooter and two sons: Gene and James; two daughters, Mrs. Glenda Paradis of Richmond, Calif., Mrs. Hazel Hamrick of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two brothers, Ralph Ennis of Caruthersville and Ivan of St. Louis.
