Burial was made at the Mount Zion Cemetery Sunday at 4:30 p.m. for Mrs. James Sneed of Chaffee.
Mrs. Sneed died at her home October 17, 1946 of a stomach cancer after her condition became serious a few months ago. Funeral services were conducted at the Assembly of God Church at Chaffee at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Sneed was well known here where she made her home until about 11 years ago when she went to Chaffee to live with her daughter.
Survivors include four sons: Stanley and James Sneed of Spring Lake, Mich., Gene Sneed of Idaho and Erskine Sneed of Pennsylvania; one daughter, Mrs. Eula Sneed of Chaffee; and two sisters.
Stubbs Funeral Home of Chaffee was in charge of arrangements.
Murphy Sneed, 59, was found dead in bed at his home a short distance south of here Tuesday morning.
Sneed suffered a light chill Monday. Members of his family heard him get up for a few minutes about 5 o'clock Tuesday morning and then return to his bed. About 5:30 they heard him struggling in his bed, but when they reached him was dead. Death is believed to have resulted from heart failure.
The dead man, who lived on the Michie farm, leaves a wife and five children. It was planned to hold the funeral services Tuesday afternoon.
