Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 18, 1952 for Mrs. Addie Mae Jordan, a young mother who was well known in this community, having been born and reared here. Services were conducted at the Steele Baptist Church, with Rev. Leonard Moffitt officiating and Rev. W.H. Cook as assistant minister.

Mrs. Jordan was born in Steele on February 17, 1922 and died June 16, 1952 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., at the age of 30 years, three months and 20 days. Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery and German Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Sonny Weaver, Delbert Riddick, Leslie Barron, Sims Michie, Frank Huffman, and Thelbert Bishop.

Survivors are her husband, Coy C. Jordan; two sons, Larry and Mickey and two daughters, Sharon and Wanda, all of Bragg City; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Patterson of Lilbourn, Mo.; two brothers, Melvin Patterson of Ripley, Tenn., and Ralph Patterson of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Hugh Britton of McGhee, Ark., Mrs. J.A. Hastings of Steele and Mrs. Robert Callens of Caruthersville, Mo.
