Funeral services for Laverna Mae North, 75, West Plains, were Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. North died at 10:13 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, in the Ozarks Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1935 at West Plains, MO, to George and Mathilda "Tillie" Mueller Linderman.
On Aug. 21, 1969, she was married at West Plains, MO, to Burl Eugene North, who preceded her in death on March 8, 2004. Mrs. North had worked at the International Shoe Company and before her retirement, was a teller at the West Plains Bank. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Sliger, husband, Stephen, West Plains; two grandchildren, Brianna Duncan-Smith, husband, Marcus, and Tyler Duncan, wife, Victoria; four great-grandchildren, Kamryn Smith, Skye smith, Yasmyn Smith and Ethan Duncan; two brothers, Raymond Lindeman, West Plains and Paul Lindeman, wife, Bonnie, Carthage, MO; one sister, Norma Martin, husband, Albert, Plano, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend and fishing buddy, Harley Johnson, West Plains.
Her parents; husband; two brothers, Lawrence and Kenneth Lindeman; and one nephew, Jonathan "Johnny" Lindeman, precede her in death.
Burial was at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. (Howell County News, Aug. 25, 2010)
