Funeral services for Mamie Leonia Overturf Key were held Sunday, July 6, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele. The Rev. Charles Darnell and the Rev. Ira Wilkins officiated.

Mrs. Key died July 4, 1975 at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. She was born April 11, 1899 in Missouri to the late Adam and Susan Crawford Overturf.

Mrs. Key leaves her widower, Walter Key, Steele; one daughter, Lear Barnard, Steele; one foster son, Jerry Holland, Poplar Bluff; one sister, Minnie Nunnery, Steele; two brothers: Jack Overturf and Lee Overturf both of Steele; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery at Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Clay Barnard, Jadie Barnard, Gene Lane, Neil Barnard, Carl Barnard, and James Howell

Funeral services for Walter Key were held Thursday, May 5, 1983 at 3:00 p.m. at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Rev. James Belk officiated.

Mr. Key was born January 27, 1895, in Tennessee, and died May 3, 1983 at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. He was 88.

He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lear Barnard of Denton; one son, Jerry Holland of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Van Winkle of Blytheville, Mrs. Mollie Blackquell of California, and Mrs. Ophelia Kilburn of Florida; two brothers, Alfred Key of Oakdale, California, and Luther Key of San Jose, California; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
