Mrs. Italy R. Haynie of Hayti, who was born June 13, 1892 in Holland, died in Hayti January 24, 1986. She was 93.
The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James M. Goff, she was united in marriage to Harve E. Haynie January 17, 1909 at Steele, and to this union were born six children. Mr. Haynie and two children preceded her in death.
She leaves the following:
Two daughters - Mrs. Ann Bryan and Mrs. Jewell Burton, both of Hayti;
Two sons and daughters-in-law - Buddy and Veda Haynie, Hayti and Bob and Pat Haynie of St. Louis;
One adopted daughter - Mrs. Georgia Dawson of Hayti;
Two sisters - Ola Funderburk of California and Pearl Pocket of Oklahoma;
One brother - Grady Goff of Blytheville;
Fourteen grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, 21 nieces, 12 nephews and five cousins.
Funeral services were held January 27, 1986 at 2 p.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, with Rev. Miles Zeigler of Hayti officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele. Pallbearers were Raymond Dawson, Marty Metzger, Tommy German, Morris Williams, H.R. Euell and Mike Clark.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
