These three gentlemen were purportedly murdered by soldiers searching for bushwackers and are buried off to the side of Old Duroc Road, their graves marked by stones.

Duroc was 8 miles east of Fredonia on the Osage River and was one of the main (ferry) crossings for the Osage River.
