Bill Duniven, 61, a native of Steele, Mo., died at noon Sunday, February 28, 1999 at the Beverly Rehab in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born January 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Duniven of Steele and Ollie Mae Ferguson Duniven of Tennessee. Mr. Duniven was the grandson of the late Otis Arthur "Happy" Duniven of Steele and Cora Ella Griggs Duniven of Tennessee; and the late Grover Cleveland Ferguson and Ella Mae Evans Feboth from Tennessee.
Bill graduated from Steele High School in 1957 and was a country singer in the late 1950's, 60's and 70's. In the 1980's he had his own flying school in Dexter, Mo., where he lived the past 20 years.
One daughter, Tracy Michielle Tipton, of Mayfield, Ky.; Two sisters, Nita Jane Gatia of Chicago, Ill. and Lynda Marilyn Tourville of Grand Prairie, Tx.; One half brother, Sam Spears, of Chicago; One step-brother, Charles Barger, of Cooter, Mo.; and One step-sister, Linda Marshall of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Graveside services for Mr. Duniven were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 1999, at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
