Mrs. Beatrice Lawrence Sandlin, 80, of Steele, died Oct. 9 at Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. Born Nov. 5, 1905 in Parma, she was the daughter of George W. and Eva Crowell Lawrence. She was a housewife.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence B. Sandlin of Steele; One son, Otis Sandlin of Vicksburg, Miss.; Two nieces, Mrs. Glen Matney of Michigan and Mrs. Marilyn Upmanyu of Corpus Christ, Texas; And one nephew, Bobby Lawrence of Steele.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert H. Lawrence.
Services were Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. at John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Steele, the Rev. Harold Thompson Sr. and the Rev. David L. Patton officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Yarbrough, Luther Howell, Jerry Terry, Johnnie Carter, Tom Yandell and Reginald Watkins.
