Funeral services for Aileen Heath Bentley, 92, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bentley died at 5:20 a.m., Sunday, December 9, 2012, at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born October 3, 1920, in Howell County, Missouri, to Francis and Lydia Heselton Heath. On December 2, 1937, she was married to Cleve Carter, Sr., who preceded her in death on March 11,1970. On October 15, 1973, she was married to Reed Bentley, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1989. Mrs. Bentley was a homemaker and attended the Second Baptist Church for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty McThompson and Martha Talley, both of West Plains, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Mildred Carter, Marshfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Alan McThompson, wife, Lou, West Plains, Missouri, David McThompson, wife Elaine, El Paso, Texas, Larry Carter, wife, Janice, Mike Carter, all of West Plains, Missouri, Gary Carter, wife, Cheryl, Richard Carter, wife, Mary Ann, Roger Carter, wife, Teresa, all of Marshfield, Missouri, Nina Guest, husband, Glenn, Columbia, Missouri; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, James D. Heath, wife, Jan, North Hampton, Ohio; step-daughter, Emma Beach, St. Charles, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husbands, two sons, Cleve Carter, Jr. and James Richard Carter, one granddaughter, Diana Sue Brewer, six sisters, one brother, two sons-in-law, Harry McThompson and Melvin Talley, precede her in death.
Mrs. Bentley will lie in state from 3:00 p.m., Tuesday until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Second Baptist Church or The Gideon Bible Society, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. On line condolences may be expressed at robertsondrago.com.
