Sarah Emaline Carver,daughter of David Alexander Turner and Julia Ann Dodd Turner, was born Oct. 24, 1879 at Siloam Springs MO and departed this life Dec. 29, 1979 at West Plains MO at the age of 100 years, 2 months, and 5 days. She was united in marriage Jul. 4, 1900 at West Plains MO to Robert L. Carver, who preceded her in death Oct. 23, 1964. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edna Evans and Mrs. Madge Weatherford, West Plains, and Mrs. Marie Chritton, Willow Springs MO; two sons, Fred Carver, Independence OR, and Frank Carver, Pomona MO; 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 4 half-sisters, 2 half-brothers and one son, Howard Carver. She was a member of the Pomona Christian Church. Funeral services were held Jan. 2, 1980 for Sarah Emaline Carver, 100, who died Saturday at West Vue Home in West Plains, with Rev. Keith Cunningham officiating. Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of West Plains.
