Funeral services for Michael Don Carter, 63, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Langston Street Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Carter died 2:09 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Ozarks Medical Center. He was born November 15, 1950 at West Plains, Missouri to Betty Joe Talley Carter Green and the late Cleve Carter, Jr. He graduated from the West Plains High School with the Class of 1968. He had been employed at Bridges Auto Parts, West Plains Auto Parts, O’Reilly Auto Parts and was a cattle hauler. He loved riding his horses, enjoyed drag racing and loved spending time with his grandsons.
He is survived by two daughters, Sara Beck, husband, Michael, Bois D’Arc, Missouri and Kelli McKee, husband, Jason, West Plains, Missouri; the mother of his children, Debbie Bonham; his mother, Betty Jo Carter Green, husband, Kenneth, West Plains, Missouri; three grandsons, Colton, Caleb and Colby Thomas; significant other, Lisa Cook, West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, Gary Carter, wife, Cheryl, Marshfield, Missouri and Larry Carter, wife, Janice, Peace Valley, Missouri; Kenneth Green’s children, Dwayne Green, wife, Jan, Ronnie Green, wife, Kathy and Roger Green, wife, Wendy; and several nieces and nephews.
His father, step-father, Glenn Cook, and several aunts and uncles precede him in death.
Mr. Carter will lie in state from 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 3rd, until service time at the Langston Street Chapel. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
