Funeral services for Bessie Pyke were conducted Wednesday, July 7, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home. The Rev. Fred Albright officiated.
Mrs. Pyke died July 3, 1976, at Pemiscot Memorial Medical Center at Hayti. She was born January 28, 1900, in Tennessee and had been a long-time resident of the area.
Mrs. Pyke leaves one son, James Rolan Pyke of Reno, New.; two daughters, Earlene Weaver of Wappapello and Charlene Brucker of St. Charles; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
