Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Combs, age 77, died Saturday, August 23, 1969 at the Dunklin County Memorial Hospital in Kennett. She was born January 3, 1892, to the late John and Mary Alice Mitchell.
Her husband, James Combs, preceded her in death.
She leaves one son, Ardis Combs, of Steele; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Acord of Yale, Ark., and Mrs. Dorlis Lyons of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Robert Mitchell of Nail, Ark.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 25, at 10:00 a.m. with Mr. Truman House and Mr. Douglas Allee officiating at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele.
Interment was in the Mount Zion Cemetery at Steele with John W. German Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Elmer Nowlin, Luther Howell, Howard Burns, and Ray Treece.
