Funeral services were held for Mary Donnley Welch, 50, at German Funeral Home Chapel May 22, 1967. Officiating was Rev. Frank Payne of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Route 2, Steele.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery with German Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Welch was born February 20, 1917 and died May 21, 1967 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital.
Pallbearers were J.L. Pearson, Grover Welch, Billy Williams, Gerald Trailer, Tommie Laden, Jimmy Davis and Napolean Melton.
She leaves her husband, Jessie Welch, Route 2, Steele; three sons, James and Johnny Welch, Route 2, Steele; and Arnold Moore of Memphis; one daughter, Cathryn Smith, Memphis; one sister, Mrs. Flora Sweden, Gonzala, La., one step-brother, M.E. Winchester, Sparkman, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 24, 1969 for Luther Grover Welch.
He was born August 28, 1888 and died February 22, 1969. He was 80 years of age.
Services were held in the German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Mr. Judson Woodbridge officiating.
Mr. Welch leaves his wife, Katie Hall Welch; three daughters: Mrs. Dola Burton, Mrs. Evelyn Melton, Mrs. Lillian Holcomb; four sons: Grover, Alvin, Melvin, and Earl Welch; a sister, Mrs. Elma Sims; and a brother, Jessie Welch.
Burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele.
Pallbearers were G.G. Southern, S.L. Johnson, J.L. Whitfield, Chester Barnes, Paul Fullerton, and Paul Cooper.
