Goldie Riley Pyke, retired farmer, died May 1, 1960 at the age of 73 years, five months and nine days. Born in Hickman, Kentucky, Mr. Pyke had lived a life-time in this community.

Funeral services were held at the German Funeral Home Chapel May 3, 1960. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul German, Frank Collins, Malcolm Steele, Lawrence Holbert, Carl Gunn, and C. O. Farris.

Survivors include his wife, Linnie Pyke of Steele; three sons: Goldie David of St. Louis, Otis of St. Louis and Dallas of St. Charles, Mo.; four daughters: Mrs. Lawrence Reagan of Steele, Mrs. Frank Metzger, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Ray Reagan, St. Louis and Miss Edith Pyke of the home; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Clyde and Roland Pyke, both of Steele.

German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linnie Pyke were conducted Monday, April 21, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele with the Rev. Roy Handley officiating.

Mrs. Pyke died April 19, 1975 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. She was born January 19, 1900 in Dyer County, Tennessee.

The widow of Goldie Pyke, she leaves three daughters: Edith Cox and Beatrice Reagan, St. Louis; and Ethel Reagan, Hillsboro, Mo.; three sons: Dallas Pyke, St. Peters, Mo., and Otis Pyke and G. D. Pyke, both of St. Louis; one sister, Minnie Cable, Canoga Park, Calif.; one brother, Tommy Smith of Arizona; 28 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Reagan, Dennis Reagan, Frank Metzger, III, Bob Metzger, Michael Pyke and Timmy Pyke.
