Mrs. Minnie Lee Looney, 81, died November 21, 1965 at her home here after a long illness.
Born January 22, 1884 in Franklin County, Ala., Mrs. Looney had lived in this community 29 years prior to her death.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at the German Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Roy Hamlett officiating.
She leaves her husband, W.A. Looney, of Steele; one son, Vernon Looney, of Neosho, Mo.,; also four daughters: Mrs. Audia Mansell of Alton, Ill.; Mrs. Alene Star of Peoria, Ariz.; Mrs. Emma Jean Holly of St. Louis; and Mrs. Nora May Jarrill of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and 27 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Frank Collins, Tommy Laden, Doc Ledford, Ollie Barnes, Joe Samford, and Alonzo Barrow.
Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery with the German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
