Funeral services for Mrs. Nelpha Beatrice Waters of Cooter were held Wednesday, November 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist church in Cooter. Rev. John T. Campbell and Rev. Jim Doyle officiated. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Waters was born January 28, 1909, and died November 7, 1982, at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. Born in Cooter, she was a long-time employee of the Cooter Post Office. She was the wife of the late Homer Waters, and a member of the United Methodist Church of Cooter.
She leaves one son, Bobby Waters of Cooter.
Pallbearers were Tommy Campbell, Dick Weber, Wayne Cooper, Pete Brackin, Dan Miller, and Paulice Alexander.
