James N. Gilmer, 51, of Cooter, died April 2, 1972.
Born in Gibson County, Tenn. February 18, 1921, he was a veteran of World War II and was employed by the Cooter Special Road District for the past 22 years.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Smith officiating.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ann Ricketts Gilmer of Cooter; one son, Joe Lee Gilmer of Cooter; and two sisters, Mrs. Lee Ila Edwards and Mrs. R.C. Jernigan of Steele.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge.
